Greetings, City Mystic Luxe community! Virginia here. I’m thrilled to reconnect after a brief but exciting hiatus from my regular blogging and posting schedule. As many of you might wonder what I’ve been up to, let me share updates from my mystical journey.
Over the past couple of months, I’ve been honored to spend time doing something I love and thought I’d never do again (that’s what I get for thinking in terms of ‘always and never’!)- providing one-on-one tarot and crystal readings, and adding a touch of mystical elegance to private events in breathtaking locales like Carmel and San Francisco. The beauty of these places and the incredible energy of the people I encountered have been a source of profound inspiration and growth for me.
Yet, amid my bustling schedule, I realized that the pandemic-induced 'Great Pause' and the downtime from recovering from a severe car accident a couple of years before had gifted me a perspective that I can’t ignore as I inch forward with rebuilding my life. It allowed me to reevaluate my work-life balance at this point, my self-care routines, and my pace of life. One of the great gifts I’ve received from the challenges of the past five years is learning that nurturing my well-being comes first- the place from which my cup is replenished.
Living luxuriously isn't about relentless hustling; instead, it's about embracing the art of slow living. This means not always being on the clock, making space for the joy of stillness, and nourishing my spirit.
Pain has given me the courage to step back when needed, rest, and prioritize my wellness. Self-nurturing is a method to ensure that the quality and authenticity of my work remain untouched. I continually re-discover that showing up for the 'next right thing' doesn't mean doing everything at once but doing what feels aligned in the present moment.
Perhaps you, too, have been navigating these new waters, exploring work-life balance in this post-pandemic landscape. Maybe you've been incorporating lessons from your own 'Great Pause,’ learning the magic of slow living, and acknowledging the necessity of self-care. My father loves to say, “Nothing in the world takes less than four hours,” which I routinely find absurd. But, ya know, the further I step into rebuilding a life that feels worth living, the more I agree with him. That means that “to-do” lists can only be four items long for me in a day, even though my inner drill Sargent wants it to be twenty-five items long (and fully expects delivery!).
Through my journey, I’ve realized that slowing down is an act of rebellion and deep self-love in this fast-paced world. It’s a mystical path that leads to a more authentic, connected, and vibrant life.
And as I resume regular posts and interactions, I plan to infuse lessons of balance, self-care, and authenticity into all I do, inspiring you to embrace your unique rhythm in this dance of life.
Here’s to this new chapter at City Mystic Luxe, where luxury, slow living, and mystical journeying intertwine in beautiful, balanced harmony.
